Where is Tanzania?

Tanzania is a country in Africa. There are 54 countries in Africa including Tanzania. Tanzania is south of Kenya, and borders 8 other countries.

This is a map of Africa with Tanzania highlighted.
Tanzania shares Lake Victoria with Kenya and Uganda. It is the biggest lake in Africa. It is a long way away from our school though. The Steven Tito Academy is closer to the Indian Ocean. In fact the town of Bagamoyo, which is where the school is, is on the coast...right near the beach!

Below is a zoomed in map of Tanzania. Can you find Bagamoyo on the map?

Bagamoyo is near Dar es Salaam, the biggest city in Tanzania.
Our school is quite small at the moment. Just one class. We hope one day it will be a bit bigger. People from overseas donated money to help build our school. It is a great place to learn!

This is our school. You can see the school logo painted on the side and the Tanzanian flag hanging from the flagpole.
What does your school look like?
We would love to see a picture.

Welcome to the Steven Tito Academy!

This is our school blog. By reading our blog you will learn all about our school, our country and about us...the students!

This is us! Well...some of us. We weren't all at school when this photo was taken.
This is us! All of us. We are at the beach in town.
All of us live in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. Some of us live right next to the school and some of us even live on the same farm that the school is built on. Some of us live in town and get the bus to school. We love coming to Steven Tito Academy to learn. We call it STA for short.

We hope you enjoy reading our blog and answering the questions we write. If you want to know something about our school then let us know and we will try to answer your questions.
